David Myers Plays More Genesis (2007)
The beautifully designed cover for my second album by Michel Laverdière. The entire artwork, including booklet, is available as a pdf at the bottom of this gallery.
When I had the amazing experience of spending a few hours talking with Tony Banks of Genesis in 2006, I showed him my proposed track list for the album. He signed it "Thanks For Everything! Tony Banks." This is the back cover of the notebook in which I wrote down all my questions for him.
I originally tried to record Plays More Genesis at Knox Presbyterian Church in St. Catharines, Ontario, courtesy my dear friends Karen and Jim MacCabe, Karen Shakespeare and Ron Eckstein, (pictured).

After the La Chapelle sessions, I went to record some of the tracks at my friend Mark Camilleri's studio in Toronto. in the end, the slow, soft tracks were used from the La Chapelle sessions, and all the up-tempo pieces were from Imagine Sound.
